Psssst, did i mention who is judging the competition...Dr Chris Bem who works at a local hospital, BRI. If you want to write about molecules and the nasty bug structure or look at the science behind CV then just remember he knows his stuff -
THAT'S WHY THEY CALL HIM DR BEM : D
Due to Covid-19 the competition has been brought forward..hurray i hear you say..if you missed out being a winner last year, now's your chance.
A great theme to connect with this year "blessings". Although we are in lockdown mode, there are so many ways to have converstaions with your families, friends, neighbours and deeply think about what "blessings" means to each one of you.
All details can be found on the flyer opposite, we have a fantastic trio of judges. Please be sure to read their biographies over on 'blogged by Sheena' , get to known them as these are the guys you need to impress..NOT ME!, yes i do all the boring behind the scenes kind of stuff...GOOD LUCK!!
Winners will be individually notified of the prize giving ceremony...see you all there!
To everyone who entered, and to all those who affilated with Poem:99 poetry competition you made it happen- and the most generous lady who donated the prize fund this year, a masssive thank you!
Zunera Farooqui Bilal
Unfortunately, there were no entries from the 13-15 category and therefore a decision was made that we would select 2 winners from the catergory with the most entries, which was the 10-12 catergory.
OMG...you're all winners! Rave about this great achievement with your friends and family. Get it out there on your social media platforms... but wait for it, you will all have to attend a ceremony to receive your prizes, EXCITING :)
May i take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been connected to Poem:99. For those who didn't win trust me, you are all winners simply for entering and trying. Hoping to be back next year God willing, until then.....keep rhyming!!
