NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR EVENTS/WORKSHOPS/ONLINE FESTIVALS !
Due to unprecedented times the older age categories did not attract entries to the competition. Therefore, a decision was taken to allocate the prize fund as above. There was a joint score in the 5-7 category which is why 3 prizes were allocated here.
Massive thank you to the following: my sponsors, to Beckfoot Heaton Primary School, Claire Malcolm at New Writing North, my wonderful judges, Musserat, Tony and Tahira, to the parents, to the children, to the winners, anyone who helped promote the competition in any shape or form, last but not least my mentor - you all made Poem:99 2020 possible. Well done from me!

REMEMBER TOGETHER WE ARE THE BEST EDUCATOR!!!!
Due to Covid-19 the competition has been brought forward..hurray i hear you say..if you missed out being a winner last year, now's your chance.
A great theme to connect with this year "blessings". Although we are in lockdown mode, there are so many ways to have converstaions with your families, friends, neighbours and deeply think about what "blessings" means to each one of you.
All details can be found on the flyer opposite, we have a fantastic trio of judges. Please be sure to read their biographies over on 'blogged by Sheena' , get to known them as these are the guys you need to impress..NOT ME!, yes i do all the boring behind the scenes kind of stuff...GOOD LUCK!!
NB: DEADLINE FOR POEM:99 HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED UNTILL 8.11.2020!! NOW CLOSED!!!

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we were unable to have a ceremony for the winners. However, there will be plenty of opportunity in the future to come together and share readings of the winning poems.
To all those who affiliated with this unique poetry competition: parents, entrants, winners, funders, sponsors, judge to name a few, you made it happen...thank you from Poetess Sheena!
Winners will be individually notified of the prize giving ceremony...see you all there!
To everyone who entered, and to all those who affilated with Poem:99 poetry competition you made it happen- and the most generous lady who donated the prize fund this year, a masssive thank you!

Unfortunately, there were no entries from the 13-15 category and therefore a decision was made that we would select 2 winners from the catergory with the most entries, which was the 10-12 catergory.
OMG...you're all winners! Rave about this great achievement with your friends and family. Get it out there on your social media platforms... but wait for it, you will all have to attend a ceremony to receive your prizes, EXCITING :)
May i take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been connected to Poem:99. For those who didn't win trust me, you are all winners simply for entering and trying. Hoping to be back next year God willing, until then.....keep rhyming!!
